Hemi '30 Model A Coupe - New Orleans, LA
.

The old rod's you see pic's of down here in the late 40's and 50's " that they are " calling Rat-Rod's is when we hade no money to do anything else with and had to make everything ourselves and paint was the last thing we were worried about back then, not that we didnt want it painted we just could not aford paint and upholstery at the same time and if some one would have come along and offered us a free paint job weed uh jumped on it.

And yes the ol "A" Coupe will rattle your brain's when you gag it!   It's got a 325 gear in the rear end, but the HEMI can handle that and pull's hard in first gear and snap's your head real good when it jump's into second. My biggest thrill was when I came home from the VIET-NAM WAR,  was to go out a whup the new car's with it and see their girl-friend's face's when it's all over and done with and the guy's came up with all the same ol excuses,  you know what I mean? The blower work's and the home-made header's have never been closed.  The body has been channeled,  top been chopped too. It's got a turbo 400 with 3500 stall, a Isky solid lifter cam.  I had to make all the push-rods for it and it still has the same 1963 upholstery in it,  also the grill shell is off a 32 ford truck.   I reworked and most everything on the" A" was hand made buy me.  John Sandifer, New Orleans Lousiana
